Meg Cohen is a strategic communications and facilitation professional with expertise in the non-profit, higher education, and association sectors. In addition to her role as Director of Marketing & Communications for the National Cherry Blossom Festival, Cohen is an Instructor for the Social Media Management certificate program at SCS, teaches custom programming in strategic communications, and regularly lectures on the topic of public speaking.

 

She specializes in activating and integrating communities across channels including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, blogs, websites, webinars, hybrid and in-person events, trainings, video and audio production, and content marketing.

Prior to her current role, Cohen worked at Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies in a variety of roles managing the student and faculty experience. She also worked at global education association ASCD where she received the Employee of the Year Award in 2009. Cohen received her Bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology from Tufts University and both her Master's Degree in Public Relations & Corporate Communications and Executive Certificate in Facilitation from Georgetown University. She was the recipient of a Georgetown Tropaia Outstanding (graduate) Student Award in 2014. Originally from Montana, she now lives in Springfield, Virginia with her husband and two daughters.
